Great weekend

Ashlyn and I had a great weekend out of the house. I don't have a car so we don't get out very often but luckily for us my stepmother invited us out.

Saturday we went to the mall and did a little shopping. I got a pair of shoes for a wedding I'm going to next month. Ashlyn for once didn't get anything lol. After the mall we went back to my parents house for a little while. She got to enjoy some mango which she really loves. Most of the time she showed off how she could climb up the stairs. We were constantly chasing her to grab her up the stairs. She did go up one time so my parents could see her do it. Such a big strong girl for almost 8 months!

Yesterday was an especially big day. We went into NY and my stepmom & I got our hair done. Considering how long we were there, Ashlyn did very good. She wasn't allowed to crawl on the floor which upset her but she eventually took a nap which allowed for some stuff to get done. After that we went to visit family but she had been woken up from a nap so she lived up to her nickname of Crank Master Ash. She kept hiding her face in my chest if someone talked to her and cried whenever the 1 yr. old who was there would scream. Ashlyn is not used to a lot of people and certainly isn't around kids so while she was a bit overwhelmed, I feel as if she did really good. I'm quite proud of my little girl.

The past 2 nights she has slept like a dream which has been fabulous for me. Guess all the excitement wore her out. Now I'm scared that since today is just a normal boring day that she will give me trouble at night again. Guess I'll have to wait a few hours to see.

Back with a vengance

Oh yes I am. I have been on a bunch of blogs and it has given me the inspiration to start blogging again. Today's blog will be about a great cloth diaper giveaway over at `29 Diapers.

Good morning?

Last night was absolutely rough leaving me super exhausted. 

BRING ON THE COFFEE!

So here I am sitting on the couch watching the Fresh Beat Band on NickJr. I can't stand the one character Shout. He's really annoying and clearly an idiot lol. Ashlyn likes the music so I deal with the torture. But back to last night. 

Ashlyn went to bed late. Normally she is out cold by 10:30pm but last night it was after midnight. She kept waking up so around 4am I gave up and decided to just have her sleep in bed with me. Well only one of us got good sleep and it sure wasn't me. My hip hurts. My elbow hurts. I'm beyond exhausted. But I'm her mama and I have to make it work!

I think today we have a shopping day planned. Going to BJ's and the supermarket to stock up on some food. I have to remember to get toilet paper. I was NOT happy when I got my chance to use the bathroom and found the LAST roll of toilet paper SOAKING WET. Why Eric didn't throw it out is beyond me but we won't go there lol. I'll update later about my day. I'm off to enjoy this fabulous cup of coffee.

Just a boring Friday

Not much of anything went on today. Ashlyn woke up around 10:30 and we did our normal morning routine. Diaper change & change of clothes (she stayed in her jammies today though), downstairs to play w/some toys while mama lets the dog out then it's coffee time for mama! I LIVE for my morning cup of coffee.

Ashlyn started crawling on Wednesday so she was all over the living room while I enjoyed my coffee. At one point she was playing with this one toy when she tipped over and hit her face on it. I try to not react negatively when she gets a boo boo. I just grab her and console her if needed....and in this case it was. She cried for a like 2 minutes and was laughing. She has a tiny bruise on her cheek though. BOO. She was being a clingy little brat today so I got absolutely nothing done today around the house but I'm not complaining. I'm lucky I was able to get a shower in!

One part of my day that brought some excitement was a code hunt I did on Swag Bucks. They hid 4 codes in some videos that you have to find and get points aka bucks for. I had to watch a bunch of STUPID videos but I got my bucks and then some. It was a good swag day for me lol. I seriously love this site but I'll talk about it another day.

On to the rest of my boring day. I basically only consisted of trying to keep Ashlyn entertain long enough so she didn't cry or fuss. I need to get her some new toys to keep her occupied. I really want to get her a jumparoo but I don't know if I should at this point considering she's 6.5 months now. But she hates the exersaucer and isn't much of a fan of the doorway jumper anymore. I need something though.

I basically just put Ashlyn to sleep...she fought hard but I always win eventually. She wouldn't eat her solids but I don't blame her. They smell and look disgusting lol. I for the most part give her homemade baby food but tonight I gave her a mix of homemade & Gerber baby food. She LOVES her sweet potato so I mix it with stuff she won't eat alone (green beans and peas right now). She loves squash but it doesn't agree with her so I have a huge stash of it in the freezer. I tried giving her some the other day (after a few weeks of her not having it) and it binded her right up so no more for now. I really need to make her more food. I'll do that tomorrow after I go grocery shopping.

Fancy is here bothering me to go out so I'm going to go do that and go relax in bed. I'm sure I won't fall asleep since my sleep schedule is beyond messed up. Hope everyone has a good night.

Welcome...

Welcome to my blog. I had planned on starting this 6 months ago when I first had my daughter but life got busy and complicated. I had to log into blogger to enter a sweepstakes and decided that it was time to use this sucker!

So I live a boring life. VERY. BORING. An exciting day to me is when I get to go grocery shopping. My days consist of being home and caring for the baby so I'll be talking about that and other random things.

Well....I'm 25...soon to be 26. My baby girl Ashlyn was born on April 14th and I think she's the most amazing baby there is. SO amazing that I'd be perfectly satisfied if I never had another. I have the most annoying dog on the face of this planet named Fancy...she's a Min Pin. And rounding out the crew is my bf Eric. Fun stuff, right?

Well that's it for my intro so I'm going to maybe do an official post about my day...hope you all enjoy!
